Tapiture’s dynamic 2-year-old filly Beautiful Trauma could likely be headed to stakes competition following her 16-length blowout allowance win Saturday at Fair Grounds. According to trainer Tom Amoss, the $150,000 Silverbulletday S. on Jan. 18, also at Fair Grounds, is a likely target as the filly starts on the road to the Kentucky Oaks (G1).
Beautiful Trauma showed an explosive turn of foot in the stretch. After leading the field through six furlongs in 1:13.41, she sprinted away from her competition with ease to coast under the wire in 1:44.02 for the 1 mile and 70 yards on the sloppy racetrack (VIDEO).
Beautiful Trauma sports a pair of wins and earnings of $106,422 for Hoffman Family Racing LLC and Steve Landry. She sold for $150,000 at the 2018 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Summer Yearlings sale and was bred by Cloyce Clark and Jay Goodwin.
Beautiful Trauma was just a part of an excellent Saturday for Tapiture that also included Ralston breaking his maiden at Gulfstream Park and Axiomo placing in the Sugar Bowl S. at Fair Grounds.
